Plot Summary

Dillon, a twenty-something year-old writer, is hospitalized for Fatal Familial Insomnia. Without the ability to sleep and in the final stage of the terminal disease Dillon finds herself on a frenzied quest in search of answers in order to fulfill her dream of writing a novel before she turns 30. The subject of the novel - The Meaning of Life. In a race against the clock knowing she won't make it to her 30th birthday, and the deterioration of her mental state, she summons six friends - all from different walks of life - to her bedside in the hopes to understand not what each of her friends expect from life, but what life expects from them. Each of her friends holds a key to unlocking the answers of the soul. As heated conversations and debates take place about today's topical issues each of them come to see each other for who they really are; each a single entity with there own desire to fulfill their individual tasks, each questioning their own belief system, each realizing every moment in life is a moment they must make a decision, thus giving them control over their destinies. As Dillon continues her fight between the waking & sleeping worlds she finds herself more in touch with her inner soul and realizes in the end it is life that has taught her to die.
